Yes, it's almost Halloween, and we're all deep into our horror reads and movies, and normally it's my favorite time of the year. But this year I feel like we've had enough horror and I'm quite ready for some holiday films and books--or at least some lighter fare just to get my spirits up. How about you?

When a pet goes missing, it's one of the most helpless, devastating feelings in the world. When my dogs ran off for a few hours one night this fall I searched the whole time, alternating between yelling for them and crying. Once they came home I was so relieved. When I heard about this cat who'd been missing for much longer, I couldn't help but be amazed.
Unfortunately, we will be waiting a while for the next season of Stranger Things. Natalia Dyer has teased incredible scripts but a lengthy wait after Covid put things to a halt this year. We'll have to hold onto the spoilers that emerge while we wait, such as this tidbit about newcomer.
